Students are responsible and accountable for their own supplies:
- Supplies should be brought to class as soon as possible. If you are unable to obtain any of the required supplies, PLEASE tell Miss Morales ASAP.
- Binders will be kept in the classroom in a designated storage space. Students may take these supplies home at their own risk. If supplies are lost or damaged (whether at home or in class) it is the STUDENT'S responsibility.
- Each student must have their OWN supplies. NO sharing notebooks.
- Any student caught deliberately damaging, writing on, hiding, or using another student's materials will receive an automatic 1 day of lunch detention for 1st offense.
Pencil borrowing policy
I get it. Life happens. Sometimes, even when you try your best, you slip up. So you've come to class without a pencil (or pen). What are your options? Students who had Creative Writing last year will remember this policy.
You have 2 choices:
1. Ask another student in class if they would be so kind as to lend you one.
2. Ask Miss Morales and give her 1 shoe or your phone. This is your deposit. Once class is over, you hand back in my intact pencil, I hand you back your intact shoe/phone.
Make sure you do this before class starts. If you refuse to do either #1 or #2, guess what? You're going to fail the assignment for the day and you will have 1 day of lunch detention for the 1st offense. It's a stupid reason to fail, don't you think? Be prepared.
